Some log home dealers just sell kits and disappear. This "love 'em and leave 'em" approach just leaves customers confused and disturbed.
At Legacy Log Homes, LLC, we'll insure the arrival of an established log home assembler at your home site on the day the log package arrives. In most cases, we will also be there when your logs arrive, and we'll always confirm the arrival of your assembler as scheduled. Furthermore, the assemblers we recommend are experienced professionals who can assemble and build out both small cabins and 10,000 sq. foot log home showplaces. If you'd like a separate general contractor to oversee your entire construction project, just ask, and we'll recommend a few proven builders. As always, however, this choice is yours.
Legacy, LLC is not a disappearing dealer. We're in it for the long run.
Considering assembling your own log perimeter walls?
I do not recommend this. There are SERIOUS RISKS associated with this option, and you should speak with me before you choose it. If, however, you are an experienced log home assembler with time on your hands, you could possibly handle your own assembly and thus maximize the savings associated with a log home.
Log home packages generally come with a set of building plans and with assembly instructions for the log perimeter walls. The choice is yours, but I recommend a skilled, experienced assembler.
Log packages also typically come with:
Lag Bolts,
Log Seal,
Washers,
Weather Stripping,
Wooden Dowel Pins.
In short, packages includes the logs plus the items (other than tools) that you'd require to assemble them.
Please call me with any unanswered questions.

THANK YOU,
H.R. ELLIS II
OWNER, LEGACY LOG HOMES, LLC

WELCOME!
I welcome you to the Legacy Log Homes, LLC website. I am H. R. Ellis II, owner of Legacy Log Homes, LLC, an authorized dealer for Ward Cedar Log Homes ("Ward"), Yellowstone Log Homes ("Yellowstone") , LLC, and Lincoln Logs International, LLC ("Lincoln").
Ward produces log packages made with beautiful white cedar. Yellowstone specializes in the mammoth 16" logs hewn from trees grown in the western U.S. Lincoln has the standard, reasonably priced 8" yellow Southern pine logs. All three of these fine companies are established in the log home business: They've been around for decades. I am fortunate to be associated with each.
NEWSBREAK!
The new, handsome, cottage-style log home in the first photo above rests in the IndianShores development of Lake Martin near Alex City in Tallapoosa County, 30 minutes from I-85. The home was built with a Lincoln log home package, Legacy, LLC facilitated the build job, and the result is just plain beautiful. For directions, call me at 1-888-LOG-2007.
Back to the welcome note
The log home market is a growing and changing phenomenon. An increasing number of log homes are built each year, and more are built as a primary residence. Second home or first home, more people are thinking log home. Some are even being constructed within 15 minutes of Manhattan. Peruse the pages of this website, and you'll learn why.
Thank you for visiting my site. Always please feel free to phone me. Even if you merely wish to chat about log homes, you may call toll free between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday, at 1-888-LOG-2007. I'm not much of a salesmen, but I will be more than happy to tell you all I know about log homes.
